I’m Rebeca Dourado, the photographer behind Current.Photo.

Current is for never-ending transformation. Like water running from a stream. It is also for the present moment. My job is to document what is in progress now.

During my years in college, I had the chance to see and experience the work behind the cameras on journalistic and entertainment sets. Telling stories with images then became my interest, and for my final thesis, I filmed and edited a short documentary about street vendors in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My journey as a professional photographer had begun.

Since 2013 I’ve worked in many different photography niches. My experience includes headshots for actors, creatives, doctors, caregivers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and corporate teams. I also cover corporate events for companies like Santander, SulAmérica, Michelin, Oceânica, Warner Music Brasil, and Inspirit Equity.

The wedding industry is the path that set my foundation as a photographer. Collaborating with sharp and creative minds, I have photographed precious moments for countless families over the years. In addition to wedding photography, I also offer engagement and family portrait services.
